An Eerie Surprised Guest

An Eerie Surprised Guest
A group of friends out for the night meets up with an unexpected guest.

Dave, Philip and Sammi Teng were working for pool renovators and they spent their weekends clubbing and bar hopping. It was 9pm and they have arrived in residential double-storey house in Taman Megah to pick up Vincent for the night out.

Sammi Teng got out the car and she busy screaming and shouting for Vincent to come out. Dave and Phillip quickly got out and tried to get Sammi to keep it down as it was already dark and people should be around. They look into the upper floor window, where there was an older “uncle” who stood looking at them. Sammi argued that the older man was only staring at them but was not doing anything.

As Sammi was busying arguing, a groggy Vincent opened the main door and he said he was not feeling well. They looked at Vincent, with his water eyes, running nose and his coughing they decided that he better get some rest.

When they were driving to the bars, Dave and Phillip noticed that Sammi who was sitting in the back seat was abnormally quiet (as she was extremely talkative). Phillip turned to look at the back seat where was surprised to find Sammi tucked and bent over her lap. Phillip excitably then asked Sammi what is wrong, is everybody going bonkers…is she sick. Sammi was shivering very badly with her head tucked in her lap managed to answer, “just please drive”.

Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur – Haunted?

Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur – Haunted?
Shocking revelation that one of the most prestigious and iconic Majestic Hotel in Malaysia is really haunted?
The historic Majestic Hotel is set on Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin opposite of the old railway (KTM) station at the heart of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Nestled closed by is the famous and renowned Golden Triangle and is just about 10 minutes by car.

Hotel Majestic in Kuala Lumpur

The original hotel was built in 1932 and during their heyday was filled with glamorous events, government receptions and was the residences of many prominent British colonials. However the building was abandoned and closed down in 1984 before it was renovated by YTL Corporation Berhad as a Luxury Classic Hotel.

Old Majestic Hotel

Gone are the bygone days when the hotel was used by the Japanese military during 1939 until 1945 war as a transit camp. In fact, the old railway (KTM) station, with the rail lines moving to the south, Singapore, there are people who remembered that strange and unknown people were walking at nights in that place! During the World War 2 the Japanese army brutally executed many people at that place.

A Young Man’s Dilemma

A Young Man’s Dilemma

A young’s man dilemma about his ability to “see” the supernatural but was could not prevent his close friend’s death.

Some people have been gifted with the ability to see and hear “things” – like ghosts, the afterlife, spirits, demons etc. in their everyday lives. The Chinese called it “Ying Yan” eyes and other people will named as simply the 3rd Eye. It is like a 6th sense where one can see or hear the supernatural. These people seemed to be born with such abilities with visions of dead people – like a father, mother and their children at an open hawker stall going about their ‘normal’ activity but sometimes there are harmful or malicious spirits are seen and must be avoided at all circumstances.

Anyway this is a recollection from my friend, Juan Sim who has with the ability to see such things from very young. Some of his childhood friends will kept quiet when Juan Sim seen preoccupied looking at things that nobody can see or hear.

After graduating Juan Sim was working in his hometown in Johor Baru. He had met a girl that was madly in love with but he had sensed a spirit with bad intention was following her. He begged her many times to let him drive her around and that he was willing to go anywhere. She just took it as a joke besides she laughingly said he has to work.

A Car Accident

Soon after that, she had a bad accident when she was driving her mother to her weekly open market. Her mother was seriously hurt but Juan Sim’s friend was killed!

Eerie AirAsia Flight

Eerie AirAsia Flight
An airplane flight back to Kuala Lumpur leaves a man with a totally eerie encounter.

AirAsia Berhad is a local-based company that has a hub in Kuala Lumpur, namely Low-Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT) at KL International Airport. It was also the largest carrier in Asia owned by a successful entrepreneur Tan Sri Tony Fernandes.

Hafiz and Farisha, a newly wedded couple, had a wonderful and peaceful stay at a beach resort in Sarawak. They were on a late fight back to Kuala Lumpur and Hafiz was seated in the window seat while Farisha was sleeping with her head on Hafiz’s lap. The night was dark with the individual passenger light was on and Hazif was casually looking outside the window on his side.

Roti Man’s Spooky Encounter

Roti Man’s Spooky Encounter
A spooky experience by a Roti Man’s while working on his round.

I remember the by-gone days where the Roti Man comes selling his wares in an old bicycle. His loaves of bread, buns and “kuih-kuih” (Malaysian cakes) will be filled till over-flowing and stacked over his bicycle. Housewives will gather their bread with their 555 book (credit) and children will gather to buy tid-bits of all kinds. Also the “tikam” games of the spin the wheels or the pull type – no wonder the adults are addicted to gambling especially the Chinese.

Marimuthu was furiously pedaling to a place between a residential cum illegal factory lot and he was running late. It was late in the evening and it was getting dark but there was still some light. He had to stop when he realize that the chain have come loose or unstuck between his bicycle pedal. He parked at the roadside while trying to fix the problem with his chain and pedal when he noticed that he was opposite an old plastic factory. Beside the factory between the ‘lalang’ was a young woman (could not see the features because it was dark) who seem to be waiting for somebody. He did not take any interest as he tried to fix the chain on his bicycle.

Myths and folklore about the haunting at Genting Highlands are very common from the countless tales from clients from people who had waited the place who visit the place. Are these incidents real? – I leave it up to you to decide.

A Photo of Kayangan Apartment at Genting Highlands

This encounter was told by Ivan, who went with his girlfriend, Melissa, a few years ago during their trip to Kayangan Apartment at Genting Highlands. During that particular incident, both Ivan and Melissa checked in the apartment and went out for a very quick meal. Then they rushed off to the casino -Yipee! (insane laughter and happiness)

After more than 6 hours, after losing a bit of money then finally to go back to their apartment. After a quick shower both the couple went to bed. Ivan was having his beauty sleep when he felt an iron-grip on his poor arm. It was his girlfriend Melissa who was gripping his arm she was terrified and whispered to Ivan, “There is somebody there!” Although feeling foggy and the pain in his arm from Melissa’s vice-like grip, he yelped “What the f@#*&!” he managed to fumble and switch on the night lamp in their bed.

Ghost in Gurney Hotel Penang

Ghost in Gurney Hotel Penang
A foreign tourists visit the hotel where they find strange and unexplainable things in their room.

A good friend of mine, Nigel and Martha, recently met up with me in Kuala Lumpur before leaving for Penang. They book a suite at the Gurney Hotel in Penang, the room was spacious and nice but the support staffs were inefficient and unfriendly.

Gurney Hotel in Penang

Nigel and Martha planned to spend several days there before flying off to Pulau Langawi. During the trip in Penang, they plan to spend some time in Gurney Drive, the Botanical Garden, Penang Hill and the famous Kek Lok Si temple.

A Hawker stall in Gurney Drive

The first night in the hotel, everything was fine, except the neighbouring rooms were filled with kids’ playing and laughter. Nigel was annoyed that the parents’ seem to let the kids (probably spoilt and pampered) make so much noise without caring about their neighbours. Martha reasoned that they kids were probably off for their school holidays. Nigel did not want to spoilt their time in Penang and did not say further.

Demonic Possession

Demonic Possession
A Demonic Possession and how friends rally to save to save a family.

Some people have claimed that evil spirits, devils, malicious deities, imps and even negative black energies can and will caused them to be affected. These symbols in the form of amulets, photos, demonic dolls etc. which represent the dark forces similarly affects the people.

Melvin and Kate Chew are happily married with three kids lived in the suburbs in Malaysia. Melvin over the year has been increasing obsessive with paranormal and supernatural stuff which drastically affected his life with his family and his job.

Demonic Amulets and Dolls

Increasing violent fights with his wife who finally left her husband and taking her children to live with her parents. Frustrated and tired of the constant fighting and missing his wife and kids, he finally resorted to get help from the church. Melvin looked extremely pale with the skin on his face was dry and his lips were cracked.

The pastor and some church members resorted to go to his house and remove the statues of the deities, amulets and his magazine, newspapers cuttings. Then the church group cleaned the entire house, with brooms and mops and finally removed the heavy curtains from the windows.

A Rukun Tetangga Team at Work

He says that the voluntary work has been mostly dull and tedious but he personally caught thieves and burglars which makes it worthwhile. He also faced numerous dogs of many sizes and types while patrolling the neighbourhood.

He however has seen many situations that cannot be normal when his ‘bulu roma naik’ (goosebumps) and he will normal say his prayers. He has recounted some of the encounters that he has experience.
When he and his friend were at their patrol during the late nights, he saw under the moonlight something whitish (like wearing a cloak) flying in the night sky. The apparition was flying in a zig-zag fashion before losing the sight of the apparition under the trees!

A Young Teacher’s Mysterious Visitor

A Young Teacher’s Mysterious Visitor
A young teacher at a missionary school meets a really eerie and unexpected visitor.
Miss Chuah was just started as a teacher in a missionary school in the 1970s in Perak.  It has been just a couple of weeks she started working as a teacher and she wanted so much to do everything right.

A Typical Missionary School in Malaysia

She was in the afternoon session and after work, she went into the teachers’ room to do some work for the next day. When she was done, she looked about the teachers’ room and she realized that it was quiet dark. She was about to switch the lights off when she notice a blurry image dressed in white in the corner of the room. Thinking it must be a nun in their nun’s white habit (white clothes-uniform), she felt somewhat award and shy but she nonetheless hurriedly went to greet her.

A Mysterious Encounter with a Neighbour

A Mysterious Encounter with a Neighbour

A mysterious and surprising encounter results in unexpected shocking results.
Yvonne Soo took a bus one night to look for her friend, Ivy, as she has not been to work for a few days. It was dark when Yvonne arrived at the block of flats. At the bottom of the flat she pressed the bottom of the lift and looked and she looked at the gloomy environment. She looked at the old Indian lady who was busily looking at the board which showed the messages, the ads, for sale etc. at the lift. She was admiring the old lady’s beautiful maroon (dark and rich red colour) saree when she noticed the “on” button for the lift. Yvonne politely said, “Are you coming?” as she gestured to the lift. The old lady, seem surprised by Yvonne’s invitation but she just smile and shook her head.

Yvonne looked at the other lift which on the 12 floor and thinking the old Indian lady must be waiting for someone. She walked to the lift and pressed and pushed the button for the 9 floor which was the level where Ivy and her parents live.

The buttons of the panel on lift

When Yvonne arrived at the 9 level she hurriedly got out of the lift…but she noticed that old Indian woman was walking towards the block. She was not sure with the poor lightings but with maroon colour saree was clearly her. Yvonne was clearly puzzled think how she got above her to that level so fast – it was not impossible. However before Yvonne could not talk to her the old lady was already walking away to the end of the corridor.
