Reflexology Centres are very popular (especially with males) that instead of a relaxing massage after a hard day’s work, it is related about the seamy and sexual activities of that trade. However, this is a story about the unnatural and ghostly encounters in a Reflexology centre.

Brenda Shi works in a Reflexology centre in town of Butterworth. Butterworth is off to the island of Penang and is located at the bottom of peninsula Malaysia. She lives with 5 other girls in the centre in the top floor of the centre and works on bottom at the 1^st floor.

On many nights, after work, she and the rest of girls have heard a mournful crying from a small kid. The cries will occur continue throughout the nights. As they stay on the top floor of a shoplot, they were puzzled about the cries. When during the next day, the girls asked their neighbours, they confirmed hearing the tearful cries and weeping from a child. However, they adamantly said that do not anybody around there that have a kid!

A vacation by 8 friends to RIA apartment results in an eerie and spooky encounter.

RIA Apartment in Genting Highlands has a 2 or 3 bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen and a bathroom provides a spacious accommodation for their clients. RIA Apartments, Amber Court, First World Hotel etc. are owned by Genting Resorts Bhd and controlled by the Lim family. It is called the “city of entertainment” and is arguably the most famous resort area in the country.

However there are numerous strange incidents of ghostly spirits, suicides from the casino and strange encounters that some people believe that the area is haunted by ghosts and spirits.

Liz Phang together with three girls and four of their boyfriends have managed to book an apartment in Genting Highlands. Liz got in ahead of her friends to their apartment, when she felt a cold gust of wind and it blew the window curtain opened. She quickly looked behind but her friends were busy yapping at the back of her. Later they when she mentioned the incident, they told her that she was mistaken. She forgot about the entire episode thinking it must be her wild imagination.

This happened many years ago during the construction of a hotel in the 1980s. One of my brother who was working then as a supervisor for a project, the Merlin Subang Hotel, in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Ah Keong was one of guys involve in the tiling works and he was working at the bathroom area. He was lying down face upwards to get to tiles. As he working, by himself, he noticed a blurry image at the corner of his eye. Shutting and blinking his eyes, he was terror-stricken when an image of a partial apparition who was standing on top of him! He screamed and tried to back away from the apparition. The blurry apparition of a man and he looked angry, just starring angrily at Ah Keong…. When the rest of the workers arrived at the bathroom location, then found Ah Keong huddled in the corner with his arms and legs tug close to his chest, in a fetal position and sobbing. When Ah Keong had sufficiently recovered, he stormed out of that place, screaming and yelling that he will not work at the hotel.

Sometime ago it was reported that a Pontianak (female vampire) was seen at Jalan Pulau Gadong in the state of Malacca.

A video clip, made via a mobile phone, was downloaded from the bridge at Jalan Pulau Gadong of the incident. This incident shows a woman a woman with long hair in a white dress, floating in mid-air and whimpering or crying. Many people were at the bridge to witness the still strange and scary phenomenal.

A weekend leisurely trip to Cameron Highlands instead leads to a couple to a harrowing and frightening experience.

Cameron Highlands which is located in the north-western region in the state of Pahang and arguably the largest and most beautiful hill resort in the country. Although it still retains the old British charm, unfortunately it is now known as the “cowboy country” due to rampant and uncontrollable land clearing.

The brothers were having a good time at their uncle’s condominium until they saw looming spooky shadows on the walls.

Azmien and his brother together with his parents visited his uncle’s condominium at Kota Kinabalu in the state of Sabah. It was a weekend and they spent the whole weekend at his uncle’s place.

While his parents were busy talking with his uncle, Azmien and his brother went down to the playground near to his uncle’s condominium. Their mother came to the playground to remind them to go for their showers as it was getting late. Azmien and his brother were reluctantly packing their toys, they heard the sound of voices of several kids fighting and laughing and playing. It was nearly 7 pm and they looked about the playground but they did not see any kids. Azmien’s brother looked puzzled but Azmien decided that the kids must be around and decided to back to their uncle’s condominium as it was getting late.

A bitter and sad tale about the ghostly entity in Peggy’s house.

Peggy Ng goes to local College in Kuala Lumpur and she lives with her parents and her younger sister. One night, her parents went for out for some dinner function and she was watching a TV program, “Ghost Whisperer” with her younger sister. The door bell rang and reluctantly Peggy decided to open the front door since her sister was so engrossed with the show. The dim illumination from the porch light showed there was nobody there. “Ehh? What is going on?” as Peggy wondered out loud. Then a gust of cold air blew from the lane into their porch, Peggy shivered and angry at the same time thinking it must be the neighbor kids playing with their door bell.

The TV show was almost over, when the two of them heard somebody singing. It was an old traditional Chinese love song and it sounded that it was coming from their own house. Peggy and her sister looked with a puzzled faces, Peggy’s sister commented, “It can’t be the neighbours” (their neighbour’s family were Indians). Peggy nonchalantly shrugged but did not give further thought to it. 

A couple of weeks later at +2am when Peggy was studying for examinations, she went down stairs to the kitchen for a drink. She heard a whimpering sound as if someone was crying from the toilet next to the kitchen. Looking through the empty toilet door she was shocked to see a shadowy apparition of a woman who was squatting and crying. Astounded she quickly grabbed her fingers into her mouth, to stop herself from making any sound. Then she finally crept to her bedroom up stairs!

When Peggy was with her mother at a shopping mall they accidentally met a neighbor auntie, she said that a woman and her husband used to stay at that house. The husband left with other woman and the wife was so distraught and heartbroken that she took her life. The dead woman was found in the toilet beside the kitchen!

As Peggy and her family were Christians, they brought in a pastor to bless the entire house. The house at the moment seemed fine except that once in a while, late at night, they can still hear a woman crying.

In Chinese culture, the fifteenth day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar is called Hungry Ghost Month or Festival. The seventh month in general is regarded as the Ghost Month (also known as “All Souls Day), in which ghosts and spirits, including those of the deceased ancestors, come out from the lower realm. Hungry Ghost Festival is when the dead are believed to visit the living.  The gates of heaven and hell open and hungry ghosts are set free to wander the earth in search of food. (My personal interpretation-sorry for any mistakes).

Awana Genting Resort is one of the group of companies by Genting Highlands Resort and reputed by many to be the most haunted in Malaysia! Maybe it is because of the suicides that had taken place from gambling (Genting Highlands is the Mecca of these activities), whereas some people believe that it is the location – just a “bad area”

Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Club Resort is a 27-storey hotel with a 304-room tower that gives guests an extensive view of the lovely 18-hole golf course and beyond.

Don Ho tells me at that time, when he checked in to the Awana Genting Resort he was attending a seminar for a few day. When he left after dinner with some colleagues, it was already 11 pm. After a quick shower he went to bed.

When he woke up a few hours later he found it unbelievable cold, he could even see his breath from his nose and mouth. Turn the night lamp from his bedroom he realized his blanket was missing. However he finally found the missing blanket, it was lying sprawling at the bottom corner at the bedroom door. Although he found it strange to find his blanket at the bottom of his bedroom, he was groggy and just retrieved it and felt soundly asleep (he must be brave or too tired).

The next day Don Ho was busy with the seminar and by the time it was after 12am and he was so tired that he felt asleep.He was suddenly woken up when he saw of an outline of a face of someone just beside his bed! He had a shock..Wahlau!...he scrambled over his bed! From the light from the bedroom window, he saw that it was a woman beside his bed and she looked very angry – actually ferocious looking. Before he could say anything…the woman disappeared! Omg!

When enquire about changing his room the next morning with the Support Services staff, he quietly and politely (if rude, he will probably get a curt reply!) the story or history about his present room. At first she was reluctant to talk about it but finally said that a woman committed suicide due to a broken affair….and guests have complained about seeing strange and eerie things in the room! She added that the management will not let the room be used unless there have no vacancy!

Working as a Hospital Technician, Subramaniam realizes it is not the most sought after job but to him it is one of the most important in terms of saving lives and getting used to death. Over the years, he has experience numerous real-life and true accounts of unnatural and unexplained incidents.

Subramaniam  had worked as a government Hospital Technician for more than 23 years in numerous Government hospitals. Unfortunately he refused to name the hospitals that he has worked partly due to confidentially reasons.

According to Subramaniam, all hospitals have a particular lift or elevator which leads from the hospital wards to the mortuary. People in this lift generally feel extreme unease, a sense of something is terribly wrong. This is quite common and understandable.

He has gotten used to strange sounds from the restrooms and toilets, people crying at night etc after so many years as a Hospital Technician. However he recalls 2 personal incidents which stand in his mind.

The first incident, when at certain nights, a ghostly vision of nurses were seen walking together, as if rushing off (dressed in old uniform). He has been advised, when he first started out, that such appearance of apparitions were common. He was told that people should carry on with their work and pretend that the apparitions did not exist.

In another case, during heavy thunderstorms a boy was seen crying at a certain ward. The ghostly boy would squat and wail continuously.

Note : Some believe that residual or left over energy from past memories.

“They were once humans”, he declared, “and everyone should leave them alone. Maybe with time, their memories will slowly fade away”.
